Breaking Bad
Background Information
Delegates will step into the fast-paced committee of the Breaking Bad world where the continental drug trade, corruption, and violence across both sides of the U.S.-Mexican border blur the lines between legality and morality. Delegates will explore how criminal enterprises - from individual kingpins to multi-faced cartel systems - challenge governments, destabilize economies, and reshape societies. Solutions must be implemented by delegates across both sides of the drug world in order to implement complex solutions which thoroughly address the deep-rooted causes and devastating consequences of the illicit drug industry. The mix of different legal perspectives ensures that compromises must be made, and wars can quickly arise if issues are not remediated promptly.
Topic One: Cartel influence on governance, security, and the general public
Topic Two: Legality of drugs, enforcement, and public health
